Shahir Zag, Chief Creative Officer, Y&R Middle East & North Africa, and team browsing Dubai Lynx entries
Print is usually the most hotly contested category at the Dubai Lynx Awards. This year, 305 entries were received in Print and only 72 have made it to the shortlist.
Dubai agencies have swept the print category – with Y&R Dubai leading with a big margin. 34 of the shortlisted Print entries are from Y&R Dubai, a long way ahead of Impact BBDO Dubai with 13 shortlisted entries.
FP7 has its lucky number – 7 entries shortlisted in Print.
The only non-Dubaio agency to make it to the Print shortlist is TBWA\RAAD Abu Dhabi – with 3 entries for its work for Etihad Airways, perhaps a bittersweet moment as the global airline’s account has now moved to M&C Saatchi Wordlwide.
Wins in the Print category could be an indication of the agency that would rise to the top at the Lynx this year. Chances look high for Y&R Dubai – Shahir and his team. You read it here first!
Yo Farrukh! Thanks for this one! Aapke muh mein ghee / shakkar!
Hey there KB – now that Y&R Dubai has won and my prediction has come true – it’s time for the ‘ghee and shakkar’.
